I've used the esv for years and it is now getting impossible to get. I have plenty of calcium and mag. but low on alk. What would a good replacement be? I have some Reef Builder that says it raises carbonate alkalinity but it is a powder and I want to dose it with the doser. So if not this, what is a good replacement for esv

I reached out to ESV last week and they listed some stores that has some of their products. Here is they responded with:

ESV is not going under, but like many other companies, we have been going through supply chain issues due to the pandemic. That being said, we are getting back to full production, and as of today, here are the websites that have our products available.
https://premiumaquatics.com/search?search=esv
https://www.marinedepot.com/brand/e-s-v
https://www.championlighting.com/?target=search&mode=search&substring=esv&including=any

Hopefully these stores will have what your looking for.

I recommend making your own ALK solution with baking soda. I used ESV for years before finally switching over. Extremely easy to do and only costs a few bucks to make a gallon.

I've been using Two Little Fishies C balance for years via dosers without any issues. I buy the gallon concentrate (Just add RODI water to the jug(s))

as of last night, marine depot and brs still were out of stock. Thanks for the links. Will check the other 2 or switch brands. I've found the small bottles, but that is not cost effective for 125 gal

How much mag do you go through a day or week? I think ESV 2-part contains some magnesium. I have a big jar of Brightwell Magnesion-p that I dose when I find it low: maybe a few times a year.

my mag tends to drop, so right now I'm dosing 20 ml a day to get it back to 1300. I did find mag at marine depot. No cal but I'm good there for a bit
