Hey has anyone used a mag drive pump to supply a euro reef or reef dynamics skimmer?
I got a skimmer older euro reef E6 from a friend but it had the wrong pump with it (sedra 3500) to small and isn't producing any dry foam or skimate at all. Talked with jeff from reef dynamics and he said I NEED THE SEDRA 5000, only problem is costs $180 plus shipping.
I have a mag drive 9.5b and found a venturi kit and a foam fractionizing impeller for it online from Marine and Reef.com for $30
I figured it was worth a try!
Anyone had any experience trying to use a mag drive with similar set-up would be helpful.
