Evo Mixed Reef

Well starting this build thread since I started tearing down my other system do to the circumstances. Well I am moving this weekend and I’m setting up a fluval 13.5 Evo my first ever nano! I didn’t want to go without a tank so I picked up this nice and easy system to setup for the time being (I have also loved these tanks). I picked through my live rock and using a portion of it for my aquascape and to get her ready for fish and corals. Will be moving my my set of clowns and pajama cardinal into this tank along with my corals. Hope you guys all enjoy will update as I go. Here is a list of things I have for the tank.

10lbs of caribsea sand
Tunze nano ATO
Mp10
AI Prime
Aqueon 150w heater

Think it’s a good start so far for the tank don’t think I will need much more to get her going.

Was playing around with some aquascapes and I think I’m going to go with this one. Will be nice room for fish and corals with the shelf rock.

Picked this up for basically nothing tonight. Going to be the stand for the Evo looks really nice too!

I will still be using my Aquafx RODI system for this tank, going to be making a brute container full at a time. The brute container should last me a long time which will be nice since I’m hooking unit up to sink for water source.

Well it’s moving day again... haha this morning I moved all my fish and coral into new tank. After I’m done packing I will update.

Few updates for you guys. Put new di resin in before making water the water is actually not bad here should last some time. Also got my new wetside for the mp10. It’s coming together!

Did a 3 gallon water change on the tank today. Did a larger one since I used old tank water. Will preform a 1.5 gallon water change every Sunday for my maintenance schedule. Will be testing par once my light hits peak this afternoon as well.

Hooked up the tunze nano ato this morning added a 1/4” 90 to help. Seems to be working great so far.

Alk is at a decent number hoping it stays around 7.8-8.0 range. My phosphates are really high going to do a few water changes this week to bring them down. But everything seems fine and is slowly opening up from the move.
