Did my first order of pods from Reef by Steele. Ordered the “gigantic double pod” buffet which, unless I’m mistaken, is seven species packaged with rotifers. “Tigriopus, Apocyclops, Tisbe, Acartia, Pseudo, Parvo copepods plus an additional and equal volume of Harpa Pods and Rotifers without additional water.” The package shipped on time as promised and came in a cardboard box, then a layer of bubble wrap with an ice pack, then a thermal bubble mailer sealed shut, then another ice pack, then another layer of bubble wrap before getting to the 16oz bottle. That’s some intensive packaging. The bottle was cool to the touch after two days of travel from Nebraska to California. The pods and some phyto are currently the only non-bacterial life in a newly cycled 155. Hopefully some of the species establish.
