Hi all,

I’m in the process of a very long build (started build 12 months ago and started cycle 3 weeks ago). I’m planning on building a new hood to match my cabinet, but I suspect it will be 3 -4 months until I have it done. When I’ve got the new hood I plan to get a combo T5 LED Unit.

The question that I have is about what I do for lighting in the meantime.

The existing hood for the Aquaone UFO-880 tank has 2x30W 36” T8 tubes and 1x20W 24” T8 tubes.

I was thinking about just replacing the tubes with Actinic tubes to tide me through the uglies.

I came across these T8 LED replacement tubes and wondered whether this would be a better approach in the short term?

What do you think?
