Found sew in poly "stiffener" at Walmart for $2.77/yd. Cut to size, slit where needed to lock into the cut pipe on top. The water flow is so nice and ever over the entire surface!

He didn't ask about nylon. Or wood for that matter.

As great as the felt seemed, I came down this morning to the sometimes stringy bacteria that grows from carbon dosing having clogged a bit of the slit in the top pipe and water spraying out onto the floor. Wasn't very impressed with that. Guess I rethink that and work towards a solution.

so, I made a hybrid... 2" of screen, then the felt. Also put a sponge over the intake of the mj1200 to keep bacteria snot from getting in there.
