I wanted to get a backup pump but instead found a complete 9430dc for sale for less than the new pump. I now have 2 complete backup skimmers for less than the price of a new one.
Used ones are around from time to time.

Both the 120 and 80 were plumbed into a 30g remote fuge then nem and corals.How did you maintain nitrate in the old(90 or 120g) system?

The 30 had 3+" of sand.
Sand bed is blacked out.
No3 was always <5 on both.

Yea the 3 sides were black acrylic so I just let it go. Looks good once covered.I love tanks that have coralline on all three sides with just a clear front viewing panel. However I don’t think I could ever bring myself to do it lol
