EXT 170 Build

I picked up this Lifereef skimmer for a good price.
I have 2 Mightyjet XL's and will use one to run it.
I currently run 2 9430dc skimmers.
I will replace #1 and may take #2 offline if this thing performs the way I think it will.
It's an older custom 28" unit.
I will use 1 9430 in my 112.

Yesterday I noticed my new 10lb co2 cylinder was almost empty.
Found the regulator output was leaking. My bad as I forgot to test it with water to look for bubbles.
Fixed that and backup and running.
Co2 is running <10bpm and effluent is 11mlm. This with kalk at 3mlm which is 4.5 liters a day holds alk at 7.8-8.

Tank looks good at these numbers.
I increased skimmers for a wetter skim and will monitor no3.

Life Reef Skimmer. I should get this running this weekend.
No cup attachment for venturi hose so I will see how loud it is and go from there.

I decided to use a spare Tunze 1073.060. Same as my return.
I was able to get a nice fit.
Not sure what I will do with the inlet yet

Waiting on a Jebao dpc8000.
I may run it first but want to have 2 pumps setup to go.
Tunze is 1300gph
Jebao mdp 2100gph max

Alk has been stable at 7.5-8.
I am going to keep kalk at 3.5mlm-which is around 5 liters a day.
Carx is running 11bpm with effluent 30+.
I have went from 11mlm to 15mlm on the effluent since starting kalk.
I will just need to turn up the speed to adjust alk levels when needed.

Working on the M59 ballast.
Got the magnet installed.
Just need to remove the old wiring and mount the capacitor and wire it up.

Got the mdp 8500 glued and it's ready to go. I will install later today.
With the union I can use the Tunze as backup.

Skimmer is up and running.
Starting at 40 watts. 65 max.

Skimmer this morning after 12hrs.
Working well at 48 watts or 75%.
The 9430 is almost clean after 12hrs in citric acid in the sink.
This was the first time I cleaned it in 19 months.

Pic 1 setting I run a little above min and current setting.
Pic 2 both on 100%. They can really move the water.
3&4 all pumps off.

Thanks! Another year and some of the Stags should be close/at the surface. 8" to go for the one by the damsel and 9" to go for the far surf&Turf. It will be interesting to see how the S&T grows as its 3" from the 6255.

The LifeReef has one and is now draining into a 1g container.
