I saw the photo of your 15 gallon tank on another thread...didn't want to hijack that thread...but man that's a beautiful little tank! I'm also looking to encrust some cyphastrea on my back wall...about how long ago did you start the frags that are on the back of yours?

7 months from pic one to today.

Nice, thank you. I need to get a couple more frags started. My first is doing well but just starting to spread out after about 3 weeks. Great to see it in a more mature tank, gives me something to look forward to!

You will need to scrape them from time to time, see where I did, to keep them apart.
I like slimers on the back wall also.
My current 50 and my old 18" nano cube for some ideas.

Nice side shot.
I have been trimming the digi to keep it from growing into coral.
I am forcing it to grow up by keeping it trimmed around the bottom. So far it looks good.

I reduced Vodka from 24ml to 20 3 days ago when no3 was 8.
I reduced today to 12.
Po4 just dipped below .1.
Feeding 4 times a day will increase to 5.
I dose esv phyto, once a week, and only use 3 scoops when esv calls for 10 scoops a day in a 150.
This acro has been tan for a year. It is turning yellow and is looking good. It was unknown frag.

I picked up a frag of a yellow stag.
It was quite yellow under the lfs heavy blue. Will see what it does in the 150 and im going to put it in the halide growout system once it encrusts.

Less than 1 month away from the 2 year mark, wow!
Yesterday I swapped out the 3-400 micron socks for new. It had been a month at least.
I only replaced 2 with one free flow.
I removed 30+ pods of various sizes and put them in my 13.
Not many visible pods in my sump but I don't stir it up to check.
This should allow the sump to populate with pods instead of catching them.

The short spine black urchin that came in on the live rocks has got quite big in 2 years. It's constantly eating coralline off the rocks and back wall.

I tested alk today and got 8.0 on Hanna. Salifert tested 7.3.
My old Hanna is 8 years old. I bought a new one and alk was 7.4.
Both Hanna and Salifert are useually within .2 of eah other.
The old had a new battery too.

This is the main reason I do not rely on 1 test. The Hanna and Salifert have worked well over the years

I am going to setup the titration method as soon as I purchaes the correct equipment. This makes sense when you run 6 systems.

Also put a small 2" engineer goby in today. I saw an adult at the lfs and thoight it was an eel, lol.

That brings the fish total to 11.

What is that and how does it work? I think it would be nice to have a known standard test method aside from comapring it to my ICP tests.

Nice pic of my yellowtail damsel.
It sleeps in the bubblegum digi that's getting quite large. I keep it trimmed so it grows up instead of out.
No3 is running at 5 using only 8ml of vodka.
Po4 is running .1-.2. I am not having to use gfo now with the 2 skimmers its hanging around .15.
I attribute this to the LifeReef skimmer. Its skim is darker and heavier than the 9430.
Night-time ph is 8 with 8.3 during the day. The kalk has worked well combined with the geo 818 CR.
