Eye infection treatment protocols

This might simply be me adding statistics where there are none but there seem to be a lot of posts regarding popeye lately.

Makes me wonder on the bacteria populations involved in these incidents. Had read a study where 30% of fish eye infections were caused by Vibrio. Another significant portion of infections when cultured were Aeromonas.

Stating since these bacterium are usually resistant to common treatments like erythromycin.

First line treatments for vibrio in human treatment is tetracyclines and for Aeromonas cirpofloxacin.

Neither are widely used on this forum though are available on sites like allivet.com for fish treatment.

Looking for thoughts or experiences, mainly discussion :).
