Currently running this program:

Fallback OFF
If Temp > 79.9 Then ON
If Temp < 79.1 Then OFF

Current temp is 79.9, and the fan is on.

I want it to turn on when temp gets to 80 and off at 79.

How should I alter my program?

Then you should change to
If Temp > 80 Then ON
If Temp < 79 Then Off
Right now you have it set so that when the temp is 79.9 or greater, the fan will kick on and if the temp is 79.1 or lower it'll kick off. With the way you have it written the fan will continue to run until it reaches that 79.1

Opps, I think mine is backwards. I had a fun time programming mine too. The Neptune forums are really good at solving programming woes.

If I don’t want it to cycle around .1 degree would I add:

Min 10:00 then Off

Would this keep the fan on for 10 minutes minimum and then turn off if temp is below 80?

Essentially I don’t want the tank to go above 80 without the fan on.

Are you using the fan as a primary means to cool the tank down?

Yes. No chiller.

Admittedly I’m sitting at Denver International Airport and this is the first time the Apex is babysitting the tank so I am like a nervous parent leaving for the weekend.

I’ll be back Monday. I even said this morning, “Apex, watch the tank. Be good and take care of it.” Lol

I know the feeling very well my friend, I travel a lot too.
Honestly, I would not worry that much about the swing to try to add the timed program along with the other. If all else fails you can just toggle the fan on until you get happy with the temp.
I know you will be watching it more than you think, so it is possible for you the throw the slider...:D

Lol glad to know I’m not alone. I’ve set up one of our Arlo Cameras in HD mode on a box on top of the chair so that I can see the tank.

I’ll just keep an eye on it. Might go manual mode as it’s just easier right now.

What I do for my home setup is use the AC in the house to keep my temp where I want it. Luckily for me it is at 74 which is where I like it anyhow! :D
My system will fluctuate 1 degree over 24 hrs. so I really don't complain.
BTW, I have a camera on mine too... ;)

Yeah we set ours at 77 and left it there. Headed to Omaha for a wedding!

I also got a automatic battery powered air pump from BRS so should power go out, it automatically pumps air into the DT to help with oxygenation. We’ve got family that can hook up our generator should power be out for longer than an hour.

I’ve also got heartbeat set up so apex will let me know if there’s an outage longer than 30 minutes. I’m not overly concerned about an outage under 30 min as I keep everything off for 30 min when I target feed corals.

Ah the first vacation after setting the tank up is nerve racking. Lol

You know,
I was thinking about something, do you have a programmable thermostat that you can remotely control??
Reason being is I keep my home at 74 and the system still runs at 77..

Another note to add, with fans comes a big increase in evaporation so hopefully you topped of your ATO reservoir...

Absolutely did. To the brim hahah!

I’m going to just monitor and see how it goes. I can turn off my carbon reactor to save some heat and my light are AI primes which don’t give off much heat but I can turn them off too. Crazy the day and age we live in that we can control our reefs with our phones from anywhere. I was hesitant to get the apex because of the price but has been worth every penny.

Not currently but I am buying one as soon as I get home. It would be a good thing to have on vacation in case I need to lower the house temp.

I couldn't agree more..
Safe travels!
