Fantastic Maxima Clam

Check out my newest specimen, I picked up this almost 6 inch Maxima for a mere 120. I notice that the mouth is a little too wide open for my comfort, but I think it will be alright, it's already laid down a single byssal thread!

Looks great. A clams mouth being open wide is a little misunderstood and it doesn't mean certain doom. Your looks fine and has great coloration. Nice score

I guess I just had to wait a few days. The mouth is starting to look better, and the clam has laid down multiple threads and attached itself!
