Thanks! Ha I just changed it again. I'm trying to get it just right with a nice natural but symmetric feel.

And I talked to Marco and they told me not to worry about it and that it wont be a problem. I had others who ordered marco say the same thing so im going to take their word for it and not soak it. After I cement it together I'm going to rinse it off though

I hope for your sake that they are correct. I am not trying to bash on Marco rocks, as I love mine. But that was my experience with the rocks.

What are your plans for the overflow? I have the same tank in the basement, debating on how I'm going to set it up myself.

I plan on doing a PVC pipe up to the top the some kind of strainer or something and set it to how high I want my water. The I'm going to surround the pipes with rock and make a pillar with shelves sticking iff the pillar for SPS

I thought about that but couldn't remember if the back glass was tempered or not. Now u got me looking for the tempered stickers on my tank .Lol . I would have just capped the two holes . Can't wait to see how covering the pipes works out for you. I am sure u will enjoy the extra real estate now .

Ha I thought about doing the same thing of just covering up the holes and then drilling the back but decided that I can use the PVC pipe like rods to help cement the pillar to.

And thanks ya I'm loving all this extra space in the tank now!

After seeing yours off, I'm considering removing mine. I'm thinking about cutting the back vertical maybe 2 inches, to make it a slimmer box, just enough to hide the overflow and return.

Anyone see a problem with this?

That was my original plan but then after talking to a fellow reefer we decided to just take the whole thing off.

Ha the sides of the overflow were braced with thin glass pieces. I declared war on those pieces of glass! They made it extremely difficult to get the overflow off because I couldn't get behind the glass panels. But with ways that I don't suggest anyone else doing I got it off!

Ok here is what I've got so far! I haven't taken any picture because I feel like you just can't see the depth of the rock work. But here is what I got. I'm not sure I'm I'm going to keep building up on the island or I'm I'm going to keep them short. I'm pretty much just trying to find the right way to top them off!
