Hello , does anyone here have experience with fauna marin sand ?

I bought 20 kg for my new SPS tank ,and noticed some magnetic fine particles, that I removed with magnet....

Any reason to worry ?

Chemistry possibilities aside, magnetic particles can get under a magnetic glass scraper and scratch the glass.

That's the new cobalt substrate. It prevents Old Tank Syndrome, (aka system over-maturity) via known chemistry by disrupting harmful food webs and biological pathways that negatively affect the microbiome and tank diversity. Yes, it kills bad things, but increases diversity in the process. Don't ask now... It was researched and will be in the forthcoming and promised book, explaining what science can't explain.

Happy Bolus Dosing...
Keep your amygdala sharp, subliminal Doug is already promoting it in his and Claude's podcasts. You just don't know that you saw it... but you did.

They apologize in advance that their calculator will have the wrong outcome for the new product. It will just change one day and be ok though.

They actually littel bluer , compared to the other particales

I think the choices of what magnetic particles that substrate contains large traces of is going to be limited to basically iron, nickel or cobalt.

Maybe if we start with maximum lightning output, the blue is bluer…. Unless the buffer is broken

Anyway , I'm going to use caribsea special grade . Thank you all

If I saw that from a bag of reefing sand I would immediately move it to the pile of sandbags I use for gardening and potted plants. Does not seem advisable to use with the strong magnetic glass scrapers.
