Favia/Favites or Micro?

I bought this about 8 or 9 months ago. Marketed as a micromussa, growth was super slow until recently it exploded and almost tripled in head count (probably due to new tank maturing finally) Loved it so much I got another one but would like to get an official stamp ID. Is it a micro or a type of favia or favite?

I will add that the heads are not fused, they are individual heads.

Last person I asked was leaning towards favites but now that I've been doing this for a while I'm kind of revisiting old "diagnostics" and like you said the favias have fused heads so I wasn't leaning towards that any longer. Thanks though!

It's a hungry favia. Iirc favites share walls, favia do not amongst other differences.

Is hungry favia official name or are you just saying that because of the feeders? Lol
I broadcast AB+ and this thing has really taken off since then. Its a bit greedy for food.
Appreciate the feedback! I just need to re-compartmentalize my thinking of favia vs favite from the sounds of it.

I target feed mine Benereef and occasionally LRS nano.

LPS like to be target-fed. A bit of powdery food on top of them, or a single mysis per head, would be good. They can eat surprisingly large food items.

They catch a mysis shrimp or blood worm here and there but I mostly turn off pumps, broadcast the ab+ and kick on the pumps once there's a thick green coating on all of my lps and they've had a while to eat it. I swear by the stuff, never had more intense growth until I started using that. And the bonus is my fish and shrimp cant steal it from the corals.
