I have a favia and pavona about 4 inches apart in my tank. I have noticed the favia has had its tentacles out almost 24/7 for the past few days on the side closest to the pavona. Today I notice the pavona is starting to bleach. Is the favia that aggressive?

4 inches apart? I doubt it, usually they need to touch to cause harm. Try changing the direction of flow.

The tentacles on the favia are very long. Long enough to be within a fraction of an inch of touching the pavona and the pavona has missing tissue right at that spot. I cant get over how long the favia tentacles are.

Marine - I have a green pavona cactus with long tentacles as well, but the tentacles are probably only 2"and the water flow has them waving away from the favia.
