This guy is losing tissue suddenly at random places. Certain spots have turned white and it seems very receded.

I think and hope it is because one of the torches fell on top of it. That has happened before and caused a small spot to die off.

However, this time there's multiple spots, which has me a bit more worried. It doesn't seem to be spreading, but the damaged/white areas are certainly dying.

Does this look like stinging damage? Every coral in the tank is doing amazing and so was this one. Nothing changed in the tank, params are stable and the same as always. Its feeders are out at night, except for the damaged parts.

I don't have any coral eaters in the tank.

That sux. Seeing as this is most likely caused by my torch, is there anything I can do to prevent it from dying? It has grown onto the rock, so I can't easily take it out without removing half of my rocks.
