I'm looking for a ~25 gallon AIO aquarium and matching stand for an upgrade. I tend to like long tanks because they: (1) give me more space in the back to put media, macro algae, nano skimmers, and nano reactors, and (2) I prefer the look of more horizontal space. However, I'm also strongly considering a cube so that I only have to buy one AI Prime HD.

Right now my top contenders are the IM Lagoon 25 (~700$) and the JBJ 25 (~555$). In a distant third is the Red Sea Max Nano. Am I missing any decent AIO tanks to consider? Any opinions on the tank options listed?

Side note: if a mod could move this to the AIO aquarium forum that would be probably be better

You may also want to consider the AIOs from Waterbox Aquariums.

@EmilyXLC - any recommendations? Marine AIO 30.2?

When i had my AIO tank i went with the Innovative Marine brand just because i got the tank for a deal. All i ran on it was a heater, 5gal water changes every 2 weeks and i had amazing growth.

I am a big fan of waterbox aquariums, and eventually will end up picking one up when the time is right

That's a great call, I just checked out the waterbed 30 and I think it's a time contender! It's a little wider than the JBJ and still within a single HD Prime's range

People recommending the waterbox 30.2: does the $837 include the stand? The website is not clear

the innovative marine 24g nuvo lagoon tank is what I started with. I like it because it has a lot of surface area for fish territory and corals.

Yeah the surface area is what draws me in as well. Did you have any complaints with it?

I have had my waterbox 30.2 up and running now for about 8 months. I love it. There is enough room for everything you could ever need in the back compartment if you are smart about how you arrange things.
The depth and the width also make it somehow feel like it is larger than it really is. The only drawback/complaint I have had is that the overflows are noisy. To fix this I cut about 1/2 thick piece of the black sponge that came with the tank and placed it over the filter socks inserts. This fixed all the sloshing noise. Photos below.

My only complaint is that there isn't much room for a skimmer in the back, but to make op for that i just put Seachem Purigen in one of the filter socks, and problem solved! Everything else about the tank in great.

Dang that set up looks awesome! Can I ask what you're dosing and which light you're running?

Thanks! I have a Radion G4 pro that I picked up used. With the tank still getting established (in its first year) I’m not dosing much. I’m doing a 5 gallon water change weekly. It ends up being almost 20%.
If things are a bit off I dose a little bit of 2part.
I have just started using some Korallen aminos. Time will tell if it makes a difference.
Below are some photos of the back compartment.

I love them ALL, but the 30.2 is what I am looking to do my next build in. : )

OP, the price online does include cabinetry.
