Hello! I was wondering if you all could write down a couple of your favorite fish in each category. Thank you!

Coral and invert safe

nano/small fish (30 gal or less) (note if its not coral or invert safe)

Algae eater

Either or both not coral nor invert safe

Great post! Looking forward to seeing your responses :)

Coral and invert safe:
Leopard wrasse - Introduced to the tank and properly claimed the center rock its home.., at least the underside. Likes to patrol the euphyllia garden looking for pods.

nano/small fish (30 gal or less) (note if its not coral or invert safe)
Longnose Hawkfish - Coral safe - Perches on everything under the LEDs

Algae eater
Yellow Eye Kole Tang - Donut the muncher, no algae is safe when he's on the case

Either or both not coral nor invert safe
Valentini Puffer (Sea chicken) - Has the most character of the bunch. Active eater (you can tweezer feed), photobomber and lucky doesn't have a taste for Acropora guy, sadly he does have a taste for inverts.

Mine are: Yellow Coris, Starry or Lawnmower blenny, Kole Tang, Blue Spot Puffer. I would also add dragonface pipefish.

Assuming the 30 gallons rule I'd suggest tailspot blenny for algae, Bluestripe pipefish and barnacle for entertainment and azure damsels for colour.

Remove the 30 gallon restrictions and I'd go for a marine betta, springers dottyback, starcki damsel, silver belly wrasse, Longnose hawkfish and any rabbitfish.
