Hi Everyone,

I had just started to add my first piece of my soft coral reef tank. I added a feather duster,
I know what your thinking ( A feather duster is an invertebrate) Well i just really liked the look of them.
So i went to my LFS today and got 2 of them!!!!! So excited what I really wanted to know is

1) Is there any specific lighting that they need
2) Can they live with t8 bulbs
3) What to feed them
4) where to place them in an aquarium ( high or Low lighting and low or high flow)
5) What do you feed yours and how much do you like your feather dusters.

All experience helps

Thanks,
Flame Hawkfish

You can put them pretty much anywhere. Put it slower flow though. I have mine wedged in a rock and it has attached its tube to the rock. They don't need light. They are filter feeders. I feed mine Oyster Feast and ZoPlan about once a week. I'm sure it gets other small particles in the water too. It will occasionally shed its plume. Don't throw it away! The worm is still alive and in its tube. It will regrow. I love feather dusters. They add beauty and movement to my tank!
