Hi Everyone,
I recently added a red and green war coral to my tank and today noticed this follicle like hand coming out of a mouth. Any ideas? Should I let it be or is this just turning into an expensive home for a parasite?

Looks like feeder tentacles extending from a mouth on the war coral to me. Leave it be. As it acclimates and grows you'll see bunches of feeders come out. Especially when it feeds at night.

Ah, interesting - I expected the tentacles to be more like the ones on my tricolor. Ok - I will try and take a breath and relax a bit. Obviously my first thought was "OH MY GOD IT'S A WORM IN MY CORAL."

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
