Are these feather dusters?
I got a pound of live rock, and three trochus snails for my tank, and they both have them. Should I be worried? Spotted any other worrying hitchhikers?

I would say yes. Live dusters. I can't see any heads or crowns in the pics.

Love that sponges on that rock. Btw.

A sponge? Hmm, my LFS gave me the live rock in wet newspaper. I thought sponges die out of water? Will they be fine? Will they harm anything else in the tank?

I see two to four types of sponges in there. Most all are harmless. And yea , it blows a lot of holes in that theory. Some are very sensitive though.

I run GAC at all times as a just in case btw.

Also do look closer at the "colony"
The pokey uppy bit on the left there.
What's that?

No idea! Maybe a coral?
All I expected to get on the rock was some coralline and some algae, but am discovering all sorts of new things.
You were definetely right about having sponges! I found the pale green sponge on another piece of rock with some pores coming out of it.
I do have some chemi pure nano packets in the filter.
I could supply more photos, but that's all that I'm capable of ;Wacky
