I got big elegance with 5 heads (5 mouths).

Do all of these heads and mouths connected to one tummy, therefore just feed 1 head and the remainder 4 heads still get to enjoy the food?

Or do each of this head has their own tummy, therefore 5 tummies in total that need to be fed?

If you're feeding something like Reef Roids, just turn your main pump off and let the wavemakers circulate.
I'm feeding something bigger than reef roids, in Australia we got a brand called Vitalis Anemone Pellet, not sure if USA got one too but I think you folks got it too.

But say I am feeding a small piece of fresh uncooked prawn.

Do I feed each head or just 1 head is enough ?

I feed Nyos LPS pellets as well, so yes - try to give one to each head.

Each head has its own stomach, but they're all merged into the same organism. As far as I'm aware, food digested by one head benefits all of them. However, each stomach can only digest a certain amount of food, and more stomachs at work means more food digested.

In other words, they all benefit if one head is fed, but feeding all the heads a small piece of food is a good way to go.

in saying that, I've also heard that not to feed them too frequently as food may get rotten inside their stomach which has bad effect to the coral itself?

Yes. Corals digest slowly, so feeding them too much results in the food rotting before it can be digested. Twice a week is probably a good frequency.

Love Vitalis! I use about everything they make.
