Hi, I just got my eel some live ghost shrimp and was wondering how I feed them to the eel.
Do I let them free and the ell eats as he wants or do you put them on tongs any other method I missed.
I will be feeding the shrimp to gut load
In short what would be the most suitable way to feed my eel ghost shrimp
Thanks.

You would normally just drop them in and let them hunt them down. In a display it can sometimes be tricky if you have aggressive fish that may make it difficult.

Sorry to hijack, but is it practical to keep ghost shrimp alive in a sump for a while? I keep finding conflicting information when I search for this.

My lfs has them, but I'd hate to get a dozen just to throw half of them out.

The ones at your lfs is likely in freshwater, while these shrimp may adjust easily to full salt, some may not. It is easy to set up a small tank or container with a sponge filter, even then many times you will get losses. Any that die just feed them when they are fresh dead. Ghost shrimp are best if given an opportunity to eat before being offered as food, a high quality micro pellet would be added nutrition, this is what we call "gut loading".
