Feeding Pencil urchin

My urchin is doing fine I think but I am afraid he might not be getting enough food. I have put nori in the tank and Rubber banded it to my thermometer but he didn’t touch it. Is he eating left over fish food? Anybody have any other techniques for him to eat? I don’t want him to starve.

You can also try a small flat piece of rock (my urchins always seem to find seaweed when it's offered up like that).
