I bought a used RSM C-250 last week for a great price, especially because it came with a load of live rock. Which was peppered with majanos. I obviously do not want them in a display, but they're the pretty green ones, and coral frags are expensive here, so I've moved the scraped survivors to a pest jar where it can live/compete with/eat blue clove polyps. Question: what do majanos eat? Can they survive off of energy transfer from photosynthetic xooanethellae? Can I give them an occasional shot of reef roids?

Well, they're not doing particularly well in isolation. I'm not feeding my pest jar, and the majanos look shrivelled. I put a tiny frag of some zoanthids of uncertain provenance in with them, and they are doing well.
