I am having issues with my FMM regularly becoming disconnected and/or the settings resetting (e.g. flow sensors randomly changing to water on floor sensors). Ferrite Cores are often discussed as a potential solution (Neptune support has recommended them to me). Has this approached helped anyone and what size do I get (5mm? 7mm?). Thanks.

Have you tried a different USB cable?

Have you tried a different USB cable?
I have not as there is no physical damage to the cable I am using.

Willing to try it though. Can I use any USB cable? or are Aquabus cables different?

Any usb cable.

Any usb cable.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

going back to my original question, if I do end up trying the ferrite cores do you know what size?

The od of the aquabus cable is a little more than 6mm, so if they are advising around that cable, the 7mm would fit.

You can get shielded and double shielded USB cables. That might be a better option
