After Much Debate It Finally Happened , My First Sump Tank , Let’s See How This Works Out. Plumbing Was A lot Easier Than I Was Expecting. Now To Do A Leak Test.

- AF Rock

-AquaBiomics Live Reef Rubble - Aquacultured
-AquaBiomics Live Sand
-AF LifeSource ( Will Be Mixed Into Sand) Bi Weekly Half Dose
-Prodibio Bio Digest (once in a blue moon)

@Alex's Nano Reef wow!! I have the FC 22.4 EXT & FC Sump 12. We should compare notes. Let us know how the leak test goes. I had quite a few leaks and had to apply more Teflon tape and put some torque on the threads. Just one place my glue job leaked and I was careful with the glue, applied Purple Primer first so I knew that I did a good job. Good luck!!!

Thankfully I had zero leaks ,I may have gone a little overboard with the pvc glue . I wish I would have added some unions to my drains , That an issue I’ll deal with in some time when cleaning season comes around lol.

That being said there neat little tanks but only CON I can say is the darn water height is low and no matter what I try its still has about 1.5in gap and turning up the flow with those nozzle jets because way to much flow , so I’m currently await some RFG to accommodate and create some better flow. How your tank water height?

Live Rubble Came Hopefully It Will Speed Up The Cycle , Dosed approx 1ppm of ammonia currently sitting at 0.25 waiting game now

Added A Tiny Tomini Tang , Tiny Yellow Wrasse
Also Skimmer Has Been Online Finally Seemed To Be Break In Finally

Update Bubble Magus Skimmer , Decided to continue overflowing like crazy , currently in about 5in of water vs the 8 recommended , this is the first time a skimmer has taken this long I’m hoping it will quite acting up soon.

Update:
I ended up replacing the Skimmer to a ICE Cap K1-50 due to the Bubble Magus being nothing but headache within a week it was working magic.

Been having issue with Po4 being between 0 to 0.03 so I have been dosing to keep phosphate up trying to prevent Dino’s.

Will be stocking this Thursday looking forward.

I will be giving Kalk a try as well so let see how that goes!!

They Produce No Noise Under 50% I have my flow kick on for 65% every night for 15min and you can definitely hear it. In terms of flow I can’t say just yet i just place coral in this morning but I can definitely see that it gentle wide flow.

There nice tank not to deep like other brands making a bit easier to work on I wish I would have gone with the EXT but seen many people struggle with mounting there lights on the back.

That’s true about using a central mounting arm. It’s a no go. I got mine really cheap, but was planning on hanging t5s from the beginning

Update: Decided to ditch Kalk it was to messy and decided to stick to ESV Two part , been trying to adjust the dosage unfortunately had some minor Alk Swing 8.3 to 7.5 and now sitting at 8.0 slowly bringing it up to stable 8.3 to match my water changes in the mince of all this some very little flesh receding off my torch but looks thinks are finally stabilizing. I have some Goni’s incoming so that should add some more color.
