File fish eating crabs or shrimp????

Has anyone ever heard of file fish eating crabs or shrimp! We lost our porcelain crab and huge cleaner shrimp we have had for 2 years. Someone ate them. And file fish is newest in tank :( super bummed about our cleaner shrimp he was huge!!!

Yes. I had one become a murder fish too. After the shrimps were gone it went after the crabs and then scooter blenny.

Yeah matted filefish love any and all inverts [emoji14] mine ate any brittle star arms that came out, my stromb eyes and I feed it shrimp regularly which it mows down. The only thing it hasn't eaten is a big CBS which I am surprised about, but the CBS is very defensive. Mine hasn't eaten any hermits yet though. Yet.

Actually, mine hasn't touched my porcelain crabs, do you have the anenome kind?

Yes when we got the porcelain it was hosting a bubble The bubble past but we had the porcelain crab for a long time after, until the file fish with added dunt dunt dunnnnnn

Scrap that, mine isn't a Matted file. It was sent as a Southern pygmy, but wasn't. I thought it was a matted file, but now it has just kept growing I have found it's better ID being Monacanthus chinensis [emoji14]
