Hello everyone.

Two days ago I noticed this on my filefish. What could it be? Still eating and active.

Thanks in advance.

Could be an injury. Any other symptoms? Is the wound completely white or any redness? Flat/swollen/hole? If I remember correctly, they anchor themselves to corals or something with their mouths to sleep so maybe something stung it or bit it...just a guess though.

Looks like an injury, if it’s eating and doesn’t get infected it’ll heal up fine :)
