Matted filefish. I have one in quarantine and i generally use tank transfer method. I'm just wondering if there's any type of spikes or toxins i should worry about as i usually do transfers by hand. I have some tupoware containers i use for tangs and such.

i would use a net regardless but i am fairly certain that matted filefish have no toxins or spikes of any kind or i at least haven't seen any on one...

Matted filefish have no toxins or spikes, but don't use a net, they have little bristles and their 'files' get caught in nets really badly.

Yup i don't use nets unless it's a last resort. Usually my hand, except for tangs i use clear deli containers.
