Excuse the mess in the pic I just want you guys to see the type of container I have. Pretty standard polytheline 50g storage tank. I bought this new. Opening the lid, the inside had a very "plastic like" smell. I hose it out well and then after that tried my best to rinse it well with RO water. I have just filled it for the first time. TDS is O inside but the water still has a faint plastic smell too it. No where near as bad as it was but you can notice it. Should I dump it once and refill or do you guys think it's ok especially since the TDS meter reads perfect?

I agree flush the water. Nice storage container. How much does it cost?

Sounds like you already rinsed it well prior to use. IME tanks like that give off an odor for a while; like a new car smell.

If TDS reads zero in reservoir I would use it.

The rodi isn't new just the container. I've been using garbage cans prior. I always flush the ro for a bit before every use. I got the container on eBay. Was I think $150 shipped
