I have a quick question. Can I clean up my Marineland Penguin HOB for use on my 29 gallon reef after it was used on a quarantine tank containing copper? I'll put all new media in it of course. The plastic body itself can't absorb the copper can it?

I would think if you take it apart, wipe it down with vinegr and dry it you’d should be fine,

I would get a copper test kit before using it just to be sure.

If you have a small tank or bucket you can hang it on you can run it in fresh water and use some cuprisorb or chemipad just to be sure. The chemipad will change color if there is still copped leach8ng out.

Thanks. I'll do that.
