How should i clean my filter socks

I just run mine in the washer with no detergent or anything. Then soak them in a 5g bucket of ro/di water until needed.

I rinse mine under the sink until the water is clear then let it soak in a bleach water solution for about 4 days. I empty that water and fill it back up with regular tap water with some chemical pellets from a LFS which remove any residual bleach. It sits in this for another day to finally be taken out and hung to dry.

I used to was in washer w/small amount
of bleach and then air dry. now I use hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach. either way they come out very clean.

place in a bucket with water and non-scented bleach (a lil more than a cap full), let sit for 1 day, remove the socks and pressure wash them with a hose, place them back in the bucket with water and dechloro for 1 day, then air dry usually for 1 day... I only have 2 pairs so this works out once I'm finished cleaning it, the others need to be changed out

I turn them inside out, then run them in the washer on gentle cycle w/ extra rinse. I use white vinegar instead of bleach which still cleans but I don't have to worry about taking any chances. I also tie the strings like a shoelace, so that the strings don't get pulled out of the sock. (They are a pain to get back in) I air dry them and they are good to go...

Buy enough to last a couple /three weeks. Swap out about every 3 days. Good rinse in sink. Every few weeks run a load in washing machine with no soap. That's about it.

I turn them inside out, rinse them under the sink faucet to remove all of the heavy stuff. I then put them in the washer, inside out, on a hot wash, no soap or bleach and a cold rinse. I run the washer on a quick wash first, to get rid of soap residue from the previous wash, before I was the socks.

In washer on heavy with couple table spoons on bleach, the after they're done air dry a couple of days. Bleach always dissipates, there is no scent of bleach left. Done it for years no ill effect on reef!

I've had great luck by tossing mine into the automatic washer with a little bleach. The come out clean and sparkling white. I do set the washer for an extra rinse cycle to be sure the bleach is gone, and give them a short soak in a bucket of RO and water conditioner just to be triple sure.
