Hi guys a little bit of information required please. I’m at the beginning of setting up the evo now I have built a full length filter chamber out of acrylic the top to take a course and medium filter sponge bottom part to accommodate chemipure gems and ceramic rings, flowing through to the middle chamber which houses nothing but cheato algae, the final chamber has the heater and an Eheim 1000 return pump. Now my question is when I first got the tank I set it up with only the Eheim running no sponges or filter media it worked fine, my question is do you think the Eheim will pump the water out faster than it can return, should I lower the flow to start with or just go for it and hope the tank doesn’t overflow.
