I have a 46 bow with a 20 gal sump and a sea side skimmer 65 gal works pretty good so far

Sc3.5 skimmer it's 200 dollars and my tank is sooooo clear it's amazing!!!

I don't run a sump on my 46g bow. I use the CPR HOB skimmer and a HOB CPR Refugium. Works well for me.

I have a black background. I only see about 2" of black plastic above tank for Refugium. The skimmer, I only see the cup. And I am OCD about keeping it clean.

Lol if I saw my skimmer cup in the open I would be OCD too thank god it's in the sump. But it's also helpful to keep an eye on it to watch that it's workin do you have a pic

Lol, yes, but I have not cleaned it today! I have a

large mirror above tank and plants hanging over the tank. It was difficult to get to the back for picture.

It is two separate unites. It was cheaper that way and no more work. My Refugium is the large unit from Marine Depot. I have only had it for a couple a month. My skimmer is a little power house. I have a no problems with it.

I wish I had room for the equipment. However, I live in a mobile home. Now room and afraid of weight on floor. Yours looks great. Nice aqua scape.

I know!!!!! That's what I said all I have is activated carbon and a skimmer it was always cloudy before

Skimmers have a break in period
I ran my skimmer wide open for about 2 and a half days then I adjusted accordingly and hit my sweet spot just mess around with it till you find your sweet spot and get some carbon it makes a difference

Can I put a carbon bag in the flow box of my Fuge?

You can put the carbon wherever the flow is
I put mine where my filter sponge thing is snugly in the corner
