Just signed up for reef2reef. Thought I would share my aquascape on my 7 foot reef. The main display is marco rock on eggcrate to protect the glass. I have live rock in my sump to seed the tank and help with the cycle. Went for a rocky shoreline kind of scape with rock slightly breaking the water surface. Hopefully the fish will like it.

It’s unique. I like it. I can’t make out your swim throughs and hiding places, but as long as as you have a place for fish to hide as needed, it looks like a winner of a scape.

My idea was the left hand side with the sand will be a spot for smaller fish to spend the time as it has small swim throughs, the rest of the tank will he for more active swimmers as its will have really high flow, I also positioned the rock this way as it will force water to be drawn through the rock wall to the overflow. Hope this makes sense

Welcome to reef2reef!!
definitely unlike any other scape I've seen but I like the style of it, some places to hide/ break line of sight from the front and sides of the tank for the fish would help them and depending on the species can lower aggression and allows for easier establishment of territories

Exactly my plan, you nailed it! Mostly going for smaller species like gobies and dartfish, hoping for a nice couple of sps colonies on the right hand side of the tank to grow out as I will be having 3 ai nero 7s on the right hand side for maximum flow.

Welcome to R2R! That is a great aquascape, I love it! The way it breaks the water surface is really cool and perfect for an unrimmed tank. I will enjoy watching this tank develop.

I will keep the updates coming as it progresses thanks for the awesome feedback!

Definitely a unique-looking aquascape! I love it!
