Hey guys,
Sorry I left without saying bye. Ive been real busy with school and such. I just recently got back from a marine research lab in another state, it lasted almost the whole summer, so yes my tanks were neglected. My nano is severly overgrown and my 125 im fighting red hair algae :( . I think it probably was due to alkalinity issues? Ive done zoa inventory and some were overgrown with hair algae, the problem i dont know which ones lol. All of the ones in the nano are doing fine. James that 2 polyp PD i got from you is literally a whole colony, and Bryan the ND i got from you is just the same. Well just letting you guys know im back and i cant wait to get the zoa fever once more :D
Peace,
Chris

Glad to see you back, Chris. I'm ready for some swamp cat action this year;). Go Rebs.

I've had luck with controlling certain algaes with consistent dKh around 9-10. I like running it lower than that, but slightly higher levels seem to have brought the algae growth down.

Lol thanks guys...:) Ive been doing 30 gal water changes every week for a month now. Corals that arent covered in red cotton hair algae are doing real fine. I went in there with a pair of tweezers and did as best as i could. Besides watching the dkh do you think a sea hare would eat whats left there. Btw im running phosban, carbon and i have chaeto LOL.
:D
