Tank is about 1 year now, and Just starting to see fine white particles floating in the display. Its not sticking to the glass as I doubt it's copepods and nothing new is stirring up sand. Doesn't look like microbubbles either. The only changes from whence this started are; added ~5 corals and used Instant Ocean epoxy (not very effective) and started dosing RedSea, 4 part Iodine, Calcium, Mag., KH and Iron. I have it set for only 2x a week as most of the parameters are close to OK, except Iodine was way too low.

Could the epoxy be breaking down, or is something in the dosing calcifying or ??? (as an aside, my skimmer is also foaming more than before) ??

Not sure how obvious it is, but check it out. And, the skimmer is still foaming. thanks for any ideas.

If your skimmer is foaming more, it's pulling something out of the water column. Maybe the epoxy is releasing stuff??? Not sure as I've never used IO epoxy. Also, are you certain those aren't microbubbles since you mention the skimmer is foaming more it may be releasing some.

That looks like micro bubbles to me, but if not, then maybe something you're dosing is precipitating out.

Any wrasses or other fish that like to play in the sand?
