I am having a hard time determining if this is a fire or bristle.

Background, I had a mishap with dosing alk (dose pump failed on) a few weeks ago. I noticed a few days later a little necrosis on 2 chalices which the last 3 days had been progressing rapidly. I went to pull them out to cut to try and save them. Under each there were 5-6 of these worms. I pulled the worms and cut the chalices to try to save them.

I am pretty sure it’s bristle but with what is going on and where they were I started questioning myself.

Any help would be much appreciated.
