This morning we found our Fire Shrimp upside down on the sand bed legs flailing.

It's now been ~8 hours and he's still doing this...

Tank's parameters:
Alk = 8.4dkh (Hanna Checker)
Salt = 33.6ppt or 1.0253 (Neptune Apex + Refractometer cross checked)
PH = 7.83 (Neptune Apex)
Nitrate/Nitrite/Phosphate = zero (Red Sea Pro Kits)
Calcium = 415 (Hanna Checker)
Magnesium = 1360 (Red Sea Pro kit)
Ammonia = .1 (Red Sea Pro kit) double checked with API test strip, 0-.5 on their scale.

Video of his behavior:

Any Ideas?

Our shrimp passed through the night.

Would be curious if someone knows what was going on.

He had 2 molts over the past 6 months. Looked very healthy, even while flailing looked perfect in colour.

It sort of sounds like just a bad molt.

I’ve had fire shrimp and skunk cleaner shrimp and mine usually molted about once a month, give or take. (Of course different environments cause different behaviors. )

Parameters constant?

Yes, very stable. Except my PH does swing a bit from night to day.

The high ones in the graph are from a couple days we had the windows open due to HVAC repairs.

Those 2 days of higher PH though made me realize we don't have enough fresh air coming into the house. This is being remedied in a week or so.
