My Fireshrimp seems to be picking on my RedSepernt Star. Added the shrimp about 8 days ago, star has been in my system since it's start about 9 months ago. The Star seems to have had the tips of its legs chopped off. I feed my system several times per day, why would my Shrimp do this and is there anything I can do? I might move Star to sump if I have too:

This can sometimes happen if a shrimp gets hungry and doesn't get fed a whole lot (not saying you're starving it) once they get a taste for starfish it's a bit difficult to get them off.. I'd move the star

Was really hoping I wouldn't have to do that, maybe I can reintroduce him back to the display after a few months.

I got him moved to the 100 gallon sump where he will have plenty of rock to romp around on. I also have a second striped Serpent star in the display but he hopefully has been well hidden and not been attacked. I'll have to remember to spot feed the star, no way the shrimp can't get enough to eat himself daily because I literally feed my display like that lol.
