I have 14g biocube which so far is lightly stocked with 3 nassarius snails, 1 zoanthid, 1 gsp, and the newest additions are a firefish pair I got 3 days ago. One of them has 2 weird marks, hides a little more, and seems to breathe faster but always readily eats food. Is this a Disease or normal behavior?

Fins look fine. Body shape looks normal. Don't see any parasitic film on it.
To me looks like a stressed out fish that needs time to settle.

Today I saw the fish with his dorsal fin lowered and rubbed against the sand. He is still eating but breathing fast.

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?

  • Not at all. Feeding demands don’t limit my stocking choices
