I have a Fire fish a High Fin Goby and a Candy Pistol shrimp that are all bonded and live together in the same tunnel system. They have been together for almost 2 years.Still to this date the Fire Fish only comes out at feeding time and when he thinks there is absolutely no one in the room.
So does mine for past 2.5 years. He has his little cave home and doesn't venture far from it into open water.

Ok obviously 2 clowns and a firefish don't work in a 15g nano tank.
I don’t find that obvious. When people talk about tank sizes for fish they never bring up correcting for rockwork. They just say a tank size.

Let us know how that works out for you. Unfortunately you will probably have a missing firefosh in a few weeks. The behavior you described is fish panic which means high stress followed by fish death typically and there are not many solutions to that in your nano unfortunately even if you change a rock or two.

I'm scared of clownfish :)

They can be aggressive little buggers.
I have to put my female clown in the net/acclimation box every maintenance/water change. She bites harder and harder... even got blood out of my pinky one time :anguished-face:

Had one jump out and bite my forehead… she drew blood. Lol
