I got a firefish 3 days ago he was out for a bit ate for 1 day and has been hiding since is this normal
Water parameters
1.025 salinity
8.1 ph
420 cal
1350 mag
5ppm nitrate
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
Have 2 clown in the same tank doing good

I've had a fire fish if I had a dollar for every time I saw him I'd have $20. I think he's gone then he makes an appearance

Totally normal. My firefish hides most of the time in his cave and pops out when I feed (and walk away)

Mine does the same and I had the same concerns. Glad to hear its not an issue.

he will come out. i have one firefish that stays out all day and 2 that hide until food floats by

They are excellent hiders and also jumpers.
Generally they’ll come out at feeding and go hide again
