Hello! I'm setting up my first marine tank and would love feedback both on aesthetics, and potential cleaning and water flow issues. (I have another vortech, I just took it off while putting rocks in.)

Tank is 90 gallons and I'm planning on having semi-aggressive fish and a small eel, so tried for lots of nooks and crannies. Probably going to put some cheaper corals in there, but nothing that I'll be heartbroken over if the fish don't jive with it. Thanks for your time!

Would you suggest capping off the backs of some of the tunnels, or completely reconfiguring to account for dedicated caves?

Doesn’t necessarily have to be a cave, just cracks and spaces for fish to sleep and hide..hard to tell from a photo, judging scale. You definitely have a few there.

Attempted to get a little more depth perception by making videos instead of pictures.

It's going to have about a 2" sandbed, I just didn't want to add it until I had the rocks cemented in.

Others will have to comment for some reason most videos are not playable on my iPhone.

If you plan to keep the back glass clean of algae and coraline you may want more room between the rockscape and glass (3 inches or more). That will give you room to get a scraper through. Coral will also grow into the empty space. Empty space around the rockwork will also help with flow and provide space for fish to swim.

I love the brackets they work perfectly.

I'll probably cement the big pieces together, and then see if I can't make some more nooks and crannies with smaller pieces of rock once I have the big stuff secured.

It's a good start but you need more rock with curvature and create more caves, inlets and outlets. Places where fish can be totally hidden at night after lights out.

I like like more rock, for all the aforementioned reasons. Also you will achieve much better flow with the vortech mounted on the side rather than the back.

Agreed with the distance from the glass, I have had to learn this the hard way in the past.
