Brain is a vague term describing the family faviidae. They all are pretty hardy and for the most part love to eat. Along with the same parameters with SPS and LPS "brains" will do just fine. Some of the genus you may run across are favites, montastrea, diploria, leptoria, ouloohyllia, platygyra, goniastrea and the most famous favia to name a few. Here is a pic of some of mine.

seems like your realestate is just about full do you have any issues with your favias tentacles at night reaching out and stinging

In the middle of a build and soon transfer. I have no issues with warfare between any of the colonies.

I see what you mean. Looking how big and close some of my colonies are you would think but I've had them for some time and I guess they know each other's boundaries

I guess it would be bottom right near the pole looking thing.

If you are referring to the round looking coral. It looks like a scoly. That is not one with the brain coral label. Brain corals as was mentioned is generic label with a huge net. Also the trachyphyllia and the now removed wellsophyllia corals are also called open brain corals. They will have a closer appearance to the scoly you liked in the picture. Trachphylllia is less hardy than the closed brain favia looking corals in the already mentioned group.

The red and yellow favia at the top right was one I picked up from R. Negret a.k.a cornbread trash. I forget the name of it.
