First Clam, is This Normal?

I got a clam from ClamMania at Reefapalooza Orlando earlier today. It has opened up nicely after an hour drip acclimation and the mantle is extended. However, its mouth is quite wide. Is this normal, or is this gaping?

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response. This is my first clam and I would be quite upset if it started dying on day one, even if it wasn't a super high end clam.

Looks happy and healthy. Just make sure its in the upper part of the tank for strong light

That picture was taken right before the lights went out.

It is currently in the sand under about 150 par but will be moved to an area with around 350 par once it attaches to the hammock. It is already attaching a little so it should only take another day or two
