First "Frag Swap", a few questions

I'm going to be in Cincinnati next Saturday and noticed it was there annual "Frag Swap" so I'm going to swing by before I start the 8 hour drive home. I've never been to a frag swap before and this one isn't local so I unfortunately I won't know anyone, but there are a couple vendors names I recognize so that will be cool.

So, if I want to buy something what is the best way to help it survive the 8 hour drive back home? Cooler with some hand warmers to keep the temp up? Or should I take a 5 gallon bucket and run an air-stone with my inverter? What do the guru's say?

Also, if somebody has any really specific requests send me your phone # and I might be able to pick some stuff up. :)

Get a styrofoam box it work best n couple of hand warmers. I just got bck from 6hours trips plus overnight. I stop by 4 different lfs before I arrive home the corals and live brine shrimp made it alive.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I think I actually have a styrofoam box from when I got some fish from BlueZoo a while back, that should do the trick.

Feel free to share any awesome LFS you know to stop at on road trips. I drive A LOT throughout the southeast and into Appalachia. I usually don't go west of the Mississippi though. Right now my "must stop" store is The Fish Store in Atlanta. I think I've got 10-15 frags from their $10/$20 bins.

I've stop by aquatic reef supplies store in Louisville,ky. Todd have some great selection of corals and fish for reasonable price I've brought orange crush acan n tiny baby of tri color acan. Here the pics he have at his store

His store is very clean compare to most store I visit in Louisville. This is the orange crush tht acquire from him

n got this acan from sandy pet store it not overall the best store kinda over price but with not very knowledgable staff

n the sun corals I got em for very good deal

30 bucks for the whole two mini colonies. If u passing thru tenn. Might want to stop by the aquatic critter, inc. they have some good stuff there as well n if u ever want to see synegy's product in person they carry those. Wat I like about tht store is if u buy a jug which is 11 bucks u can get free ro or salt ro fill up. I had to buy it cuz by the time I get home the store would be close lol

Be sure to stop by Jason Fox's booth. He has the nicest corals I have ever seen and a lot of them he has collected from the wild himself. Nice guy too. Keep your eye open for a Tyree Pink Lemonade ;)
