This is my very first frag tank build. Everything from building the stand to drilling the tank was done by me. I am proud of what it has become, but I know I could do more. That is where you guys come in. What else could I do here to make this better?

I have a few frags of zoas, palys, anacropora, monti, toadstool, a torch, florida ricordia, rhodactis, leptos, birds nest, a plate, some Kenya tree, some xenia, chalice, blasto, echinata. Those are all in there now. It's been up and running for about a month. I have one heater in the sump and two in the tank temporarily until I find the single one I want to use down there. I do have a couple bags of carbon in the sump in a high flow area. I need to change them out tomorrow. I am using the flow from the return and a nero 5 turned way down.

I put some sea lettuce in my fuge yesterday to bring my PO4 down a bit. Going to do water tests and update with those later today.

It seems like I might have a small bacteria bloom going on. The sea lettuce and a couple of frags were added yesterday, but nothing that should have kicked off a cycle. Maybe the water tests will tell me more.

Next equipment added will be an apex system and a new heater.

Looking really good for the first time!!
Thanks! I watched a TON of youtube videos and did a TON of research before I started. I would visit my LFS just to look at their setups to get ideas. There will always be something to make better on it.

Update on the frag tank. Finally got over an algae bloom. Frags are growing. Number of frags is increasing. Need more livestock. Maybe a wrasse and a small tang. Recommendations are welcomed! I will do a tank video and edit a little later. Happy Reefing!!

Frag Tank Update

^^Here is the link to the video of the update. As I stated in the description of the video, my corals were not happy when I took the video. I turned on the lights for 5 minutes and they did not like me very much. I will get some better video in the middle of the day, soon, and make a compilation video. Thank you guys for watching, and HAPPY REEFING!!

When they start to over grow the plugs, I will be putting some in my 120g and 20g long. Lots more I want to add to this tank though.

Do you have a iPad or similar type screen mounted somewhere near your tank for control or display?
